Love Your Local Record Store with exclusive releases on June 20th

As extra support RSD releases will be offered in our country on June 20th, apart from the three 'RSD Drops' data. In this way we'll give the independent record store as well as the local labels a boost by offering some nice titles exclusively as Indie Only on this Love Your Local Record Store.

Record Store Day 20 June 2020 has been canceled. You already knew this. Instead came RSD DROPS with Record Store Day releases spread over three dates in the fall. Fresh off the press is that, by analogy with the Netherlands, we can offer some local titles early. In this unprecedented situation, the focus is almost entirely on supporting the record stores.

All releases have been pressed for months, the costs have been incurred and so it is impossible for record stores and labels to wait until the autumn to cash in on those investments. For this reason, and with the support of Record Store Day, a fine range of local titles will be offered exclusively in the independent record store on 20 June.

Due to the cooperation with RSD Netherlands, 35 exclusive titles will appear on June 20. Definitely worth checking out this list

Some titles such as the two fine Bonzai releases and the debut album of Willy Organ will appear earlier in the month of June. (http://recordstoreday.be/releases)

Exceptionally, these releases can be booked in advance and can also be ordered online. Because let's be clear, it's not going to be a holiday and we ask you to either stay in your room or at least respect the social distancing rules of five lp's or a Dries Mertens. Anyway, all record stores have already taken measures to receive limited customers. The advice of the National Security Council has to be respected by everyone that day. So it certainly won't be a holiday like it used to be. However, as a music lover, we do encourage all record stores and labels that day. And this under the motto Love Your Local Record Store! #LoveRecordStores

RSD Drops

In addition, nothing changes in the concept of RSD Drops. Where the titles on the official RSD 2020 list are spread over three RSD 'Drop' dates: Saturday August 29th, Saturday September 26th and Saturday October 24th. A new version of the list of all relevant releases, spread over the three dates, will be published on June 1.
